Water purged <br /> from the wells will be stored in appropriately labeled, <br /> 55-gallon,-.-steel-.-17E -drums approved for this use by the <br /> Department of Transportation, until suitable disposal options are <br /> selected based on laboratory analysis. Following ground-water <br /> purging the wells will be allowed to recovery to static <br /> conditions, a sample representative of the formation water will <br /> be collected from each monitoring well using a Teflon bailer <br /> cleaned with Alconox and deionized water. <br /> The water sample will be transferred slowly and sealed in <br /> appropriate laboratory-cleaned glassware with Teflon-lined lids. <br /> Glassware will be selected according to laboratory guidelines for <br /> sample containers compatible with each analysis requested. The / <br /> samples will be labeled and placed promptly in iced storage. <br /> Chain of Custody Records will be initiated in the field by the <br /> geologist and will accompany the samples to the analytical <br /> laboratory.
