GE"! ,.11
GENESIS ENGINEERING&REDEVELOPMENT
Monitoring Wells OH-1 and OH-2 were sampled nine times between March 31, 1983 and
May 18, 1984. Analytical results from these samples are presented in Table 4. Sample
as are depicted on Figure A-4.
Surface Water Sampling
Eight surface water samples were collected from Whiskey Slough adjacent to the Site
between March of 1983 and May of 1984. These surface water samples are referenced in
Condor's January 1988 Waste Characterization Analysis Report. No information was
found regarding sampling procedures. It is assumed that these samples were collected by
Arcady Oil Company. Three additional surface water samples were collected by Condor
on October 21, 1987. Sample CSW-1 was collected from Whiskey Slough adjacent to
the Site; sample CSW-2 was collected approximately 3 miles northwest of the Site where
Whisky Slough enters Empire Cut; and sample CSW-3 was collected approximately 3
limes south west of the Site where Trapper Slough enters Middle River. The analytical
results of the surface water samples are presented in Table 5. Sample locations are
shown on Figure A-5.
Off-Site Soil Samples
A total of 7 off-site soil samples were collected in July and August of 1984; based on the
date of sample collection, the samples are assumed to have been collected by Arcady Oil
Company. Condor collected 4 additional off-site samples in October of 1987. Samples
from both investigations were analyzed for metals, and oil&grease; samples from the
Condor investigation were additionally analyzed for volatile organics. With the
exception of barium, lead, and oil & grease, concentrations of constituents detected in
off-site samples are within an order of magnitude to those found on-site in subsequent
investigations. Barium and lead are detected in lower concentrations in the off-site
samples, whereas oil & grease is detected in higher concentrations within the off-site
samples. Sample results are presented in Table A-8. Sample locations are depicted on
Figure A-8.
Alvin L. Franks
On April 23, 1985 the RWQCB staff made a Site inspection and approved the proposed
locations for the soil borings and monitoring wells proposed by Alvin L. Franks,
Engineering&Environmental Geology Consultant("Franks"). On April 25 and 26,
1985, and April 2, 1987 Franks advanced 16 borings and collected a total of 38 soil
Site Investigation Work Plan 4 of 18
DePaoli Property
November 14,2007
