GENESIS ENGINEERING& REDEVELOPMENT
samples. One to four samples were collected from each of the soil borings from various
depths; ranging from surficial soils (0.0-0.2 feet below ground surface— ["bgs"]) to a
total depth of 10.5-12.0 feet bgs. Samples were analyzed by the California Assessment
':';anual ("CAM") Waste Extraction Test ("WET"). The CAM V':1T analysis is typically
performed using a citric acid digestion/extraction, and the results are reported in
milligrams per liter(mg/L). Sample results are presented in Table A-6. Sample locations
are shown on Figure A-6.
On April 29, 1985 Franks installed 10 monitoring wells (M-1 through M-10) across the
northern and southern portions of the Site. All wells were drilled with a 6-inch
continuous flight auger. All wells were installed to a depth of between 17-feet 4-inches
and 20-feet. The monitoring wells were sampled 3 times between August of 1985 and
September of 1986; Monitoring Wells M-4, M-5, M-6, and M-8 were also sampled in
October of 1987. The analytical results of the groundwater sample results are presented
in Table A-7. Sample locations are shown on Figure A-7.
Condor
On October 14— 16, 1987 Condor advanced 7 soil borings across the southern parcel of
the site. A total of 33 discrete samples were collected from the?borings. Between 3 and
8 discrete samples were collected from each of the borings with depths ranging from
surficial soils (0.0—4.0 feet bgs)to a total depth of up to 14 feet bgs. All 33 samples
were analyzed for metals, with the deepest sample from 5 of the borings being
additionally analyzed for volatile petroleum and oil & grease. Total constituent
concentrations were run for each sample following digestion by EPA Method 3050.
Samples with the highest total concentration were run for soluble constituents using the
CAM guidelines with both citric acid extraction and deionized water extraction.
Concentrations of metals in site soils are similar to those detected in later investigations.
Soil sample results are presented in Table A-9 (sample locations are depicted on Figure
A-9); sample results for soluble constituents are presented in Table A-6 (sample locations
are depicted on FigureA-6).
Off-Site Groundwater
Condor collected samples from 4 off-site groundwater wells in October of 1987. No
documentation was found as to the nature of these wells (agricultural, domestic, etc.).
GW-101 was located approximately 1,000 feet northeast of the Site, GW-102 was located
approximately 4,000 feet east of the Site, GW-103 was located approximately 1,500 feet
south-southwest of the Site, and GW-106 was located approximately 1.25 miles northeast
Site Investigation Work Plan 5 of 18
DePaoli Property
November 14,2007
