GENESIS ENGINEERING&REDEVELOPMENT
The soil samples will be analyzed for the following constituents:
1. Volatile Organic Compounds ("VOC");
2. Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds ("SVOC");
3. Title 22 Metals and Hexavalent Chromium;
4. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline ("TPHg");
5. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel ("TPHd");
6. Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene (`BTEX");
7. Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons ("PAH"); and
8. Oil and Grease; and
9. Alkalinity, Calcium, Chloride,pH, Sodium, Potassium, Sulfate, and Sulfide.
The analytical procedures, sample volumes, sample preservation, and holding times are
presented in the Sampling and Analysis Plan.
Since the soil borings will be advanced into the upper water bearing unit in order to
collect a soil sample in the vadose zone immediately above the shallow water bearing
unit, this opportunity will be used to collect water samples from 3 of the on-Site borings
to supplement the data that will be obtained from the monitoring wells; and from the 4
off-Site borings to provide data on background concentrations. The selected borings will
be advanced into the shallow water bearing unit and a grab groundwater sample
collected. In addition, soil samples will be collected from the 3 on-Site shallow water
bearing unit and will be sent to a geotechnical laboratory for a sieve analysis. This will
provide the information necessary for selection of the screen slot size for the groundwater
monitoring wells.
The grab groundwater samples will be analyzed for the following constituents:
1. Volatile Organic Compounds ("VOC');
2. Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds("SVOC");
3. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline("TPHg");
4. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel ("TPHd");
5. Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene (`BTEX");
6. Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons ("PAH");
7. Oil and Grease;
8. Title 22 Metals and Hexavalent Chromium; and
9. Alkalinity, Calcium, Chloride,pH, Sodium, Potassium, Sulfate, Sulfide, Total
Dissolved Solids, Total Hardness, and Conductivity.
Site Investigation Work Plan 10 Of 18
DePaoli Property
November 14,2007
