TERRAX
Environmental Engineering and Consulting
Task 2: Well Abandonment
The soil vapor well head at each well location will be removed. The soil vapor probe shall be
destroyed by removing all material within the original borehole (including the well casing, screen,
filter pack, and annular seal). Terrax proposes to advance five (5) Hollow Stem Auger borings (6-
inch) centered on each probe (B-1, B2, B3, B5 and B-6) to a terminal depth of 15 feet below
ground surface (bgs).
The 6-inch boring shall be filled with neat cement by use of a tremie pipe or equivalent, proceeding
upward from the bottom of the well or boring. Sealing materials shall be placed in one continuous
operation
Task 3 Waste Removal
Soils will be collected for waste profiling (up to 2 samples). Waste soil will be contained in DOT
approved 55-gallon drums on-site. Once the waste is profiled the waste will be transported and
disposed of under waste manifest by Belshire Environmental Services, Inc.
Sampling procedures will conform to the requirements of the California Department of Toxic
Substances Control (DISC) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). All soil samples
and groundwater samples will be transported off site for analysis by a state certified laboratory.
and/or sampling beyond the proposed scope may be required. The entire project will be performed
under the responsible charge of a registered professional civil engineer or geologist.
4952 Warner Avenue, Suite 242, Huntington Beach California, 92649 Page 4
