CHOW ENGINEERING, INC. <br />Rev. 6, 8-8-14 <br /> <br />6.4 Decontamination Procedures <br />For this low level hazard "Level D" operation, decontamination procedures shall include <br />observance of basic rules including no eating, drinking or handling of food items during <br />work operations. Washing and cleaning procedures using water and decontamination <br />procedures of both equipment and personnel shall be applied at all times. <br />Decontamination procedures include proper removal of safety wear, washing and <br />cleaning during breaks and before eating or drinking practices. After work sessions, <br />removal and disposal of PPE shall be performed as appropriate. <br /> <br />7.0 Applicable Codes and Regulations <br />The following national safety codes and regulatory standards will be applied by CE <br />personnel during the course of this project where applicable: <br />California Title 8, CCR, General Industry & Construction Safety Orders. <br />29 CFR 1926, Safety and Health Regulations for Construction, US Department of <br />Labor (OSHA) <br />29 CFR 1910, Hazardous Materials Training, US Department of Labor (OSHA) <br />American National Standards Institute — Safety Guidelines (ANSI), as applicable. <br />ANSI Safety Requirements for Construction, (ANSI-Al 0) <br />CE and all CE its Subcontractors (if any) will comply with the above mentioned safety <br />codes, professional codes and standards as required to safely accomplish the work <br />specified. <br />8.0 Work Site Maintenance <br />Daily area clean-up will be performed by all site personnel. All non-usable surplus <br />materials and debris, if any, resulting from the work on this project shall be properly <br />packaged, removed and disposed of in a timely manner according to regulation and <br />pursuant to the procedures outlined in the Project Proposal and/or Work Plan prepared <br />by CE. <br /> <br />8.1 Sanitation Facilities <br />For work activities lasting more than a few days onsite, portable sanitation facilities will <br />be brought in for use onsite. Typically, the groundwater sampling activities (semi- <br />annual) and H202 application into the wells (monthly) last up to a day during standard <br />day-shift and no sanitation facilities are brought to the site. The current tenant and site <br />occupants have portable sanitation facilities in the vicinity of SWMU#21 and have <br />provided access to CE personnel. <br />7
