Historical soil analytical results are included as Attachment B. To complete the proposed scope of work,
GHD will perform the tasks below.

2.1 Permits
GHD will obtain necessary soil boring permits as required from SJCEHD.

2.2 Site Health and Safety Plan
GHD will prepare a site safety plan to inform site workers of known hazards and to provide health and
safety guidance. The plan will be kept onsite at all times during field activities and signed by all site
workers and visitors.

2.3 Underground Utility Location
GHD will notify Underground Service Alert (USA) at least 48 hours prior to field activities to clear the soil
boring locations with public utility companies. Additionally, GHD will hire a private utility locator to help
identify all subsurface lines prior to beginning work activities. Soil boring locations may be modified based
on the results of the private utility locate.

2.4 Soil Borings
Five borings (B-1 through B-5) will be advanced at the approximate locations shown on Figure 2. The
borings will be advanced using a 3-inch diameter hand auger to approximately 6 fbg. Soil encountered in
each soil boring will be screened using a photo-ionization detector and logged using American Society for
Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard D2488. Soil samples for laboratory analysis will be collected in 6-
inch long, 2-inch diameter brass or stainless steel sleeves at approximately 4.5 and 6 fbg using a slide
hammer. Only one sample will be collected from boring B-5 at ? fbg. Soil samples submitted for chemical
analyses will be capped with Teflon, labeled, entered onto a chain of custody form, packed on ice, and
sent to Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories (Lancaster) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

2.5 Laboratory Analyses
Soil samples from borings B-1 through B-3 will be analyzed for the following analyses:
Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) by EPA Method 8015M
Benzene and ethylbenzene EPA Method 8260B
Naphthalene by EPA Method 8270 (detection limit less than 10 milligrams per kilogram)
Soil samples from boring B-4 will be analyzed for the following analyses:
Oil and grease (TOG) by EPA Method 1664A
TPH as diesel (TPHd), TPHd with 10-gram silica gel cleanup, and TPHg by EPA Method 8015M
632277D-RPT 24-WORK PLAN ADDENDUM docx SECOND ADDENDUM 3
