Soil Suitability /Nitrate Loading Study Irerracon
Ehlers Property ■ Lodi, California
May 13, 2021 + Terracon Project No. NA217019
Based on a review of the historical information, the site appeared to consist of undeveloped and/or
agricultural land with up to four structures from the 1930s through mid-1970s and was developed
with the existing grain facility by the early 1990s. Building records indicate the grain facility
1.3 Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
1.3.1 Existing On -Site Septic Tank Usage
Based on information provided by the client, the existing grain facility warehouse is developed
with one septic system that services up to five employees year round.
1.3.2 Site Specific Permit History
Terracon searched the EHD Public Records website and the following EHD permits associated
with the site address were identified.
Table 2.
Summary of Site -Specific Permits.
Septic and well permits are included in Appendix C.
1.3.3 Discussion of On -Site Septic Tank Installation and Repair
Based on a review of the permits, the site is developed with a 1,200 -gallon septic tank with one
100 foot long leach line. There were no septic repair permits identified.
1.3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the site, our office reviewed
a recent aerial photograph of the property available from GoogleEarthTM. The vicinity of the site
consists of agricultural land and rural residences. The assumption was made that each
building/cluster of buildings has one septic system. Using this method, we determined there are
approximately three septic systems within 1.0 mile of the site.
Responsive Resourceful e, Reliable 5
Leach
Seepage Pits,
Parcel Address
Permit #
Type /
Tank Size
Leach Line
Line
Sumps, Filter
(Year)
Location
(Gallons)
Quantity
Length
Beds, Other
(Feet)
78-813
New Septic
1,200
1
100
---
(1978)
Install
92-0582
Other Test
9220 West Highway 12
(19
1 borings
---
--
---
---
SR0060990
Well Pump
---
---
(2010)
Repair
---
---
Septic and well permits are included in Appendix C.
1.3.3 Discussion of On -Site Septic Tank Installation and Repair
Based on a review of the permits, the site is developed with a 1,200 -gallon septic tank with one
100 foot long leach line.
