7.0 GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESEARCH
7.1 EPA Databases
The California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manages contaminated
sites through two sub -agencies: the State Water Resources Control Board
(SWRCB) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). The
SWRCB's GeoTracker database includes underground storage tank (UST) sites,
leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites, cleanup program sites, and land
disposal sites. The database can be searched by reviewing two lists, the
Permitted Underground Storage Tank (UST) Sites list and the Cleanup Sites list.
DTSC's EnviroStor database includes Federal Superfund sites, State response
sites, voluntary cleanup sites, school cleanup sites, corrective action sites, and
permitted hazardous waste facilities.
Live Oak searched both databases on July 24, 2021 for any listed sites within
one-quarter mile of the Site. The subject Site was not listed on either database,
and no listed facilities were identified within one-quarter mile.
7.2 Environmental Health Department Databases
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
Cleanup, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste Generators, Underground
Storage Tanks, Aboveground Storage Tanks, and Complaints databases, dated
April 2021, for facilities of concern within one-quarter mile of the Site. The
subject Site was not included on any of the databases. Two listed sites were
identified within the search radius:
• Petz Farming, 2630 W. Durham Ferry, approximately one-quarter mile
northwest of Site, Aboveground Storage Tanks, Hazardous Materials,
Hazardous Waste Generators, and Underground Storage Tanks
databases. Live Oak reviewed records available from the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department for this facility. According to a
Hazardous Materials inventory from 2010, 4,000 gallons of diesel were
stored in an aboveground storage tank inside a building; small quantities
of gasoline, oil, and waste oil were also stored at the facility. An
Aboveground Petroleum Storage Program Survey Form indicated that less
than 1,320 total gallons of petroleum products were stored on the facility in
2009. Small Quantity Hazardous Materials Generator permits from 2014
and earlier were on file as well. No records related to underground
storage tanks were identified. Based on the distance from this facility to
the Site and the types of listings involved, the facility is not considered
likely to have impacted the Site.
LOGE 2140 5
