• Durham Ferry Orchard, 2050 W. Durham Ferry, approximately one-eighth
of a mile north of the Site, Aboveground Storage Tanks and Hazardous
Materials databases. Live Oak reviewed records available from the San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department for this facility.
According to a Hazardous Materials inventory from 2010, 500 gallons of
diesel were stored in an aboveground storage tank at this facility. Based
on the distance from this facility to the Site and the types of listings
involved, the facility is not considered likely to have impacted the Site.
Live Oak searched the San Joaquin County Haz Mat Viewer on April 26, 2021 for
the Site and any nearby facilities with hazardous materials inventories. The Site
was not marked as a hazardous materials facility. Two hazardous materials
facilities were identified within one-quarter mile of the Site:
• Petz Farming, 2630 W. Durham Ferry, discussed above;
• Durham Ferry Orchard, 2050 W. Durham Ferry, discussed above.
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
maps of Nitrate — Land Use Data and DBCP — Land Use Data dated February 20,
2019. According to the nitrate map, eight wells within a one -mile radius of the
Site have been tested for nitrate (Plate 6). Nitrate was detected in five of the
wells at concentrations between 0.1 and 5.0 mg/L-N and in two of the wells at
concentrations between 5.1 and 10.0 mg/L-N; no nitrate was detected in the
final well. Within the one -mile radius of the Site, three wells were tested for
dibromochloropropane (DBCP) (Plate 7); no DBCP was detected in any of the
wells. The Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) set by the US EPA for nitrate is
10 mg/L-N; the MCL for DBCP is 0.2 tg/L.
7.3 Agricultural Commissioner's Records
Live Oak contacted the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office
regarding agricultural use of the site. According to Hiromi Hernandez of that
office, Navarra Ranch has grown almonds on the Site since 2018. A variety of
agricultural chemicals have been applied to the Site during that time, as indicated
on the attached table in Appendix 5. Three violations were identified during a
2019 inspection; all were "non-compliance" violations (lack of required safety
glasses and decontamination kit during spraying), were corrected during the
inspection, and required no further action (correspondence, July 19, 2021).
7.4 California Geologic Energy Management Division Records
The California Geologic Energy Management Division (CaIGEM) Well Finder
website was queried on July 22, 2021 for mapped oil or gas wells within one-
quarter mile of the subject Site. The Site is located within the Vernalis gas field.
One well was identified on the subject Site (Plate 8):
LOGE 2140 6
