PACKAGED AIR CONDITIONING UNITS <br />Section 15855 <br />15-1207 <br />Air Filters: <br />1. Provide two-inch thick, pleated MERV 8, 30%, filters with cardboard holding frames. <br />2. Air filters shall be of an approved type tested in accordance with test method SFM-31.6 as <br />shown in Article 80, Title 19, California Code of Regulations. Pre -formed filters having <br />combustible framing shall be tested as a complete assembly. <br />3. Air filters in all occupancies shall be Class 2 or better, as defined in the test method above. <br />4. Air filters shall be accessible for cleaning or replacement. <br />5. Provide sufficient spare filters for two complete changes for each unit. <br />Gas Heat Exchanger: <br />1. Unless noted otherwise, units shall be complete with gas heating section made up of <br />aluminized steel heat exchanger capable of mixed air temperatures as low as 40 OF. <br />2. Where noted on drawings, units shall be complete with gas heating section made up of 304 <br />stainless steel heat exchanger capable of mixed air temperatures as low as 20 IF. <br />3. Heat shall be single -stage with intermittent spark electric ignition system and flame sensor. <br />K. Economizer: <br />1. Provide factory dry-bulb 0-100% economizer with barometric relief. <br />a. Shall be listed on the CEC web site. <br />b. Maximum damper leakage rate to be equal to or less than 10.0 cfm/sq. ft. at 1.0 in. w.g., <br />meeting or exceeding Title 24 2013 requirements. Economizer controller shall be <br />Honeywell W7220 that provides: <br />• 2 -line LCD interface screen for setup, configuration and troubleshooting. <br />• On -board fault detection and diagnostics <br />Sensor failure loss of communication identification <br />• Automatic sensor detection <br />Capabilities for use with multiple -speed indoor fan systems <br />• Utilize digital sensors: Dry bulb and Enthalpy <br />• 5 year manufacture parts warranty <br />L. Field installed power exhaust capable of approximately 35% of unit nominal airflow. <br />M. TXV: Provide factory installed thermal expansion valve (TXV) for each refrigerant circuit. <br />N. Phase/Voltage Monitor and Protection Device: <br />1. Provide unit with standard factory installed and tested phase/voltage monitor. <br />2. Monitor shall have two LED indicator lights. One shall indicate a balanced, three-phase <br />power supply circuit and the other shall indicate that unit operation has been prevented and <br />that the power supply circuit is either not balanced, properly connected or that the line -to - <br />line voltage is not between 180 volts and 633 volts. <br />3. The monitor shall protect unit from damage if any of the following occur: <br />a. If power is lost on one of the three conductors of the three-phase power supply circuit. <br />b. If voltage is not sufficiently balanced between the three conductors of the three-phase <br />power supply circuit. <br />c. If the three-phase power supply circuit does not have the proper phase sequence. <br />2.03 PACKAGED AIR CONDITIONING UNITS 6 THRU 25 TONS: <br />A. Cooling System: <br />1. The total certified cooling capacity shall not be less than scheduled. <br />2. The compressor power input shall not exceed that of the unit specified. <br />4 <br />
