DUCTLESS SPLIT SYSTEM AC UNITS <br />Section 15865 <br />15-1207 <br />C. Spring Isolators: <br />1. Contractor to provide submittals for spring isolation. <br />a. If Contractor submits substitutions on Ductless Split Systems AC Units or <br />specified spring isolators, then Contractor shall provide structural <br />calculations for anchorage of outdoor condensing unit. Calculations to be <br />stamped/signed by a California Licensed Structural Engineer. Calculations <br />to be submitted to DSA as a deferred approval process and manufacturer <br />to be responsible for addressing any/all DSA comments and all additional <br />DSA review fees. <br />b. Substitutions received without Calculations will rejected and returned un - <br />reviewed. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 GENERAL: <br />A. Acceptable manufacturers: <br />1. Mitsubishi Electric <br />2. Or Equal <br />B. Delivery, Storage, and Handling: <br />1. Unit shall be stored and handled according to the manufacturer's <br />recommendations. <br />2. Wireless controllers shall be shipped inside the carton with the indoor unit and <br />able to withstand 105°F storage temperatures and 95% relative humidity without <br />adverse effect. <br />C. Warranty: <br />1. The units shall have a manufacturer's parts and defects warranty for a period one <br />(1) year from date of installation. The compressor shall have a warranty of 6 <br />years from date of installation. If, during this period, any part should fail to <br />function properly due to defects in workmanship or material, it shall be replaced <br />or repaired at the discretion of the manufacturer. <br />2.02 REFRIGERATION PIPING: <br />A. Copper Tubing: ASTM B 280, Type ACR, hard -drawn straight lengths, and <br />soft -annealed coils, seamless copper tubing. Tubing shall be factory cleaned, ready for <br />installation, and have ends capped to protect cleanliness of pipe interiors prior to <br />shipping. <br />B. Copper Tubing: ASTM B 88, Type L, hard -drawn straight lengths, and soft -annealed <br />coils, seamless copper tubing. <br />C. Fittings: Wrought copper, ANSI B16.24, 150 psi. <br />D. Joints: Use silver solder and non -corrosive flux. <br />E. Valves and Sight Glasses: Alco or Henry. <br />2 <br />
