DUCTLESS SPLIT SYSTEM <br />AC UNITS <br />Section 15865 <br />15-1207 <br />a Timer On/Off button, Set Time buttons, a Fan Speed selector, a Vane <br />Position selector, a Louver Swing button, a Ventilation button, a Test Run <br />button, and a Check Mode button. <br />d. The controller shall have a built-in temperature sensor. Temperature shall <br />be displayed in either Fahrenheit (°F). Temperature changes shall be by <br />increments of 1 OF with a range of 67°F to 87°F. <br />6. The wired controller shall display operating conditions such as set temperature, <br />room temperature, pipe temperatures (i.e. liquid, discharge, indoor and outdoor), <br />compressor operating conditions (including running current, frequency, input <br />voltage, On/Off status and operating time), LEV opening pulses, sub cooling and <br />discharge super heat. <br />7. Normal operation of the wired controller shall provide individual system control in <br />which one wired controller and one indoor unit are installed in the same room. <br />The controller shall have the capability of controlling up to a maximum of sixteen <br />systems at a maximum developed control cable distance of 1,500 feet (500 <br />meters). <br />8. The control voltage from the wired controller to the indoor unit shall be 12 volts, <br />DC. The control signal between the indoor and outdoor unit shall be pulse signal <br />24 volts DC. Up to two wired controllers shall be able to be used to control one <br />unit. <br />9. Control system shall control the continued operation of the air sweep louvers, as <br />well as provide On/Off and mode switching. The controller shall have the <br />capability to provide sequential starting with up to fifty seconds delay. <br />Outdoor Unit: <br />1. General: <br />a. The outdoor unit shall be compatible with the three different types of indoor <br />u n its. <br />b. The connected indoor unit must be of the same capacity as the outdoor <br />unit. <br />C. The outdoor unit shall be capable of operating at 0°F ambient temperature <br />without additional low ambient controls. <br />d. The outdoor unit shall be able to operate with a maximum height difference <br />of 100 feet indoor unit to outdoor unit. <br />e. System shall have a maximum refrigerant tubing length of 100 feet for <br />12,000 and 18,000 units and 165 feet for the 24,000, 30,000 and 36,000 <br />between indoor and outdoor units without the need for line size changes, <br />traps or additional oil. <br />f. Models PUY-Al2NHA, PUY-Al8NHA, PUY-A24NHA, PUY-A30NHA and <br />PUY-A36NHA shall be pre -charged for a maximum of 70 feet of refrigerant <br />tubing. The outdoor unit shall be completely factory assembled, piped, and <br />wired. Each unit must be test run at the factory. <br />5 <br />
