Color: <br />1. 480 Volt System: Orange lettering on white background. <br />2. 208 Volt System: Blue lettering on white background. <br />3. Fire Alarm System: Red lettering on white background. <br />C. Legend: <br />1. 480 Volt System: 480 VOLTS. <br />2. 208 Volt System: 208 VOLTS. <br />3. Fire Alarm System: FIRE ALARM. <br />2.7 UNDERGROUND WARNING TAPE <br />A. Description: 4 inch wide plastic tape, detectable type, colored yellow with suitable <br />warning legend describing buried electrical lines. <br />2.8 LOCKOUT DEVICES <br />A. Lockout Hasps: <br />Reinforced nylon hasp with erasable label surface; size minimum 7-1/4 x <br />3 inches. <br />PART 2 EXECUTION <br />3.1 PREPARATION <br />A. Degrease and clean surfaces to receive adhesive for identification materials. <br />3.2 INSTALLATION <br />A. Install identifying devices after completion of painting. <br />B. Nameplate Installation: <br />1. Install nameplate parallel to equipment lines. <br />2. Install nameplate for each electrical distribution and control equipment <br />enclosure with corrosive -resistant mechanical fasteners, or adhesive. <br />3. Install nameplates for each control panel and major control components <br />located outside panel with corrosive -resistant mechanical fasteners. <br />4. Secure nameplate to equipment front using rivets. <br />a. Provide color coded nameplates as applicable, with the following <br />information: <br />1) Equipment or device designation. <br />2) Amperage, KVA or horsepower rating, where applicable. <br />3) Voltage or signal system name. <br />4) "Served from" identification. <br />5) Miscellaneous information as shown in "Examples". <br />
