MULTI-PURPOSE SOUND SYSTEM <br />Section 16780 <br />15-1207 <br />1.3 BIDDER QUALIFICATION: <br />A. This work shall be performed by a Sound and Audio -Visual Systems contractor who has <br />at least ten (10) years direct experience with the devices, equipment and systems of the <br />type specified herein, and who has a fully staffed and equipped maintenance and repair <br />facility within one hundred and fifty (150) miles of the project location. <br />B. Supervisors shall have at least five (5) years direct experience in similar work. <br />Installation and maintenance personnel shall have at least three (3) years direct <br />experience in similar work. <br />1.4 APPLICABLE STANDARDS & AGENCIES: <br />A. SMPTE - Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers <br />B. NAB - National Association of Broadcasters <br />C. EIA - Electrical Industries Association of America <br />D. UL - Underwriters Laboratories <br />E. AES - Audio Engineering Society <br />F. NEC - National Electrical Code <br />G. NFPA - National Fire Protection Association <br />H. UBC - Uniform Building Code <br />FCC - Federal Communications Commission <br />J. City Lab - City of Los Angeles Testing Lab <br />1.5 UNLISTED EQUIPMENT: <br />A. Certain equipment specified herein may not bear listing by UL or City Lab. Such <br />equipment is specified herein only where no equipment is known to exist bearing such <br />listing which will perform the function required. <br />1.6 REFERENCE TO TRADE NAMES: <br />A. Selected Item: Item specified was selected based of comparative testing of similar <br />products. <br />1.7 WORK COMPLETION: <br />A. Organization: Schedule the work of this Section with that of all other trades to ensure <br />that work will proceed as expeditiously as possible toward scheduled completion. <br />2 <br />
