MULTI-PURPOSE SOUND SYSTEM <br />Section 16780 <br />15-1207 <br />B. Installation: Install, test and make ready all work for Acceptance Testing at least seven <br />(7) days prior to the completion date of the project. <br />1.8 WARRANTY SERVICE: In addition to the provisions of the proposal provide the <br />following: <br />A. Warranty: The equipment supplier shall assume full responsibility for performance of <br />the entire system for one (1) year from date of Owner's acceptance of the project, and <br />shall provide on -the -premises servicing during normal working hours. <br />1. Such servicing shall be provided at no cost to the Owner, if trouble is not caused <br />by misuse, abuse, or accident --otherwise, it shall be at current labor rates. <br />2. Service for equipment shall be normally available within 24 hours from the <br />service department of an authorized distributor of the equipment manufacturer <br />using factory -trained servicemen. <br />3. Speakers shall be guaranteed by the manufacturer for five years. <br />4. Electronics shall be guaranteed by the manufacturer for three years. <br />B. Response Time: Provide a qualified technician familiar with the work at the site within <br />twelve (12) hours after receipt of a notice of malfunction. Provide the Owner with a <br />telephone number attended eight (8) hours a day five (5) days a week, to be called in <br />the event of a malfunction. Failing repairs, provide at no expense to the Owner, <br />alternate facilities, services and systems for the duration of the repairs to any defective <br />work of this Section. Provide a complete and operational system, within twenty-four <br />(24) hours after notification of a malfunction. <br />C. Off Site Service: Conduct all warranty repairs and service at the job site, unless in <br />violation of manufacturer's warranty. Provide substitute systems, equipment, and or <br />devices if possible for the duration of off-site repairs. <br />1.9 RENEWABLE ANNUAL MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT: <br />A. Agreement: Submit a proposal for a renewable annual maintenance agreement for the <br />servicing and adjustment of the System. <br />B. On -Site Service: Perform biannual examinations with trained personnel, including all <br />necessary adjustments, measurements, lubrication and parts replacement to keep the <br />system in full compliance with the Specifications. <br />C. Scheduling of Service: Perform all maintenance work, except emergency repairs, <br />during regular working hours on regular workdays. Perform emergency repairs when a <br />system or component malfunctions during use. <br />1.10 CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATION: <br />A. Personnel: Supervisors shall have at least five (5) years direct experience in similar <br />work. Installation and maintenance personnel shall have at least three (3) years direct <br />experience in similar work. <br />3 <br />
