CONSTRUCTION FACILITIES AND <br />TEMPORARY CONTROLS <br />Section 01500 <br />15-1207 <br />workmen; complete with operators, power and signals, as required; in accordance with <br />Safety Orders of State of California Division of Industrial Safety; until completion of the work <br />under this Contract or until no longer required. <br />2.05 ENCLOSURES, FENCING AND BARRICADES <br />A. General: Provide and maintain barricades, fencing, shoring, pedestrian walkways including <br />attached lights, other lights, and other safety precautions to properly guard against personal <br />injury and property damage as prescribed by authority having jurisdiction; including <br />insurance companies. <br />B. Attention is directed to Safety Orders issued by State of California, Division of Industrial <br />Safety. Contractor shall obtain copies of such Safety Orders as are applicable to type of <br />work to be performed, shall be governed by requirements thereof in all construction <br />operations, and shall fully inform subcontractors and material suppliers as to the <br />requirements of applicable Safety Orders. <br />C. Contractor's Corporation Yard: Locate where shown or agreed on with Owner and Architect. <br />Enclose with fence and gates as required for security, and as approved. <br />D. Provide and maintain 6' high temporary fencing around entire work area to keep <br />unauthorized personnel from equipment, structure, utilities, etc. Protect work in place from <br />damage, including fields, roads, landscaping, etc. No work is allowed outside this <br />designated construction boundary. <br />2.06 TEMPORARY SIGNS <br />A. Project sign: Furnish and erect 4' by 8' project sign in location shown or as directed; in <br />accordance with details approved by Architect. Submit sign layout and text to Architect for <br />review prior to painting. <br />1. Construct sign in a sturdy fashion using 3/4 MDO (face side) EXT APA plywood <br />signboard with 1 x 4 wood frame surround around perimeter edges, and 2 x 4 backing <br />substantially bolted to two rough 4 x 4 wood posts. Set posts in ground 3'-6" and <br />locate bottom of sign board 3' from ground. <br />2. Paint entire assembly with at least two coats exterior house paint (primer and finish); <br />with white background, and with name of Project, Owner, names of Board of Education <br />Members, District Superintendent, District Director of Facilities and names of Architect, <br />Engineers, Contractor and such subcontractors as he desires, painted thereon. <br />Additional text as required by the OPSC may be required (see attachment). <br />3. Upon contract completion, remove sign and restore area to original condition, or as <br />may otherwise be required by Contract Documents. <br />4. Verify all text with Architect prior to fabrication of sign. <br />2.07 SITE CONTROLS AND PARKING <br />A. Entrance to Work Site: Contractor and his employees shall use certain access roads or <br />entrance ways as indicated on drawings or as agreed to by Architect and Owner. Access <br />shall not interfere with on-going operations (if any). Maintain these roads in satisfactory <br />condition during the contract time, and repair damages attributable to work of this project at <br />intervals as needed.
