CONSTRUCTION FACILITIES AND <br />TEMPORARY CONTROLS <br />Section 01500 <br />15-1207 <br />J. Security: Contractor is responsible for security of areas of his work during entire time of <br />Contract. Make good all damages to the work and loss of materials due to vandalism or <br />theft, within this responsibility. This includes damages due to construction activities caused <br />to existing facilities. <br />K. Contractor may wish to provide a security force at his expense. The Owner will not provide <br />any monitoring for security purposes. <br />L. Parking: On-site parking after occupancy may be limited or may not be permitted during the <br />school year due to limited existing conditions. Check with district office to ascertain parking <br />availability and DO NOT park on-site if not permitted. <br />2.08 WINTERIZATION <br />A. Provide winterization preparations as required for the full duration of the project. Necessary <br />efforts shall be taken to ensure that work may proceed on the project during normal, <br />expected weather conditions based on the project schedule. <br />B. Access onto and around the site shall be maintained during wet conditions by placement of <br />gravel or other material. Such materials shall be removed to allow installation of specified <br />finish material. <br />C. On-site water shall be collected and controlled until storm drainage and roof drain systems <br />are complete, to prevent damage or delay due to runoff, in accordance with the SWPPP. <br />D. Contractor shall take other measures necessary, including but not limited to, temporary <br />roofing, protection of openings, interior conditioning, etc. <br />2.09 FIRE ALARM, INTRUSION ALARM & FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS <br />A. Prior to start of demolition, the contractor shall fully test the fire and intrusion alarms <br />systems in the presence of district personnel to determine the working status of the <br />systems. The test results shall be coordinated with the Project Inspector, documented and <br />provided to the Owner and Architect. <br />B. During construction, the Contractor shall protect and maintain the fire and intrusion alarm <br />systems and the fire sprinkler protection systems of the existing and completed buildings. <br />Failure to provide such protection and maintenance shall result in the Contractor assuming <br />full responsibility for all existing and new unprotected buildings and property - whether a part <br />of the Contract or not. <br />2.10 FIRE SAFETY DURING CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION <br />A. During demolition and/or construction phases, the Contractor shall provide fire safety <br />precautions as described in and required by the California Fire Code, current edition, <br />Chapter 33 — Fire Safety During Construction and Demolition. Safety measures include but <br />are not limited to maintaining fire department access, cutting and welding precautions and <br />maintaining water supplies for firefighting purposes. <br />B. In the event the Contractor discovers utilities not identified in the Contract plans or <br />
