SITE CLEARING AND REMOVAL <br />Section 02110 <br />15-1207 <br />1.06 JOB CONDITIONS <br />A. An attempt has been made to show all existing structures, utilities, drives, pavements, curbs, <br />walks, etc. in their approximate location on the survey and/or working drawings. However, <br />others that are not shown may exist and may be found upon visiting the site or during the <br />clearing and removal work. It will be the responsibility of this contractor to accurately locate <br />all existing facilities and to determine their extent. If such facilities obstruct the progress of <br />the work and are not indicated to be removed or relocated, they shall be removed or <br />relocated only as directed by the Owner. <br />Report any existing site element not shown on the working drawings to the Architect of <br />Record so that the proper dispensation of that element may be made. <br />B. Natural features, existing structures, existing landscaping, existing utilities, etc. which are <br />indicated to remain on the drawings and specifications shall be protected and shall not be <br />defaced or damaged in any manner. <br />C. Restore to their present conditions any pavement in the public right-of-way that is disturbed <br />by the work under this section. All pavement restoration work in public rights-of-way shall be <br />performed to the full satisfaction of the governmental agencies having local jurisdiction. <br />1.07 ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Noise producing activities shall be held to a minimum. Internal combustion engines and <br />compressors, etc., shall be equipped with mufflers to reduce noise to a minimum. Comply <br />with all noise abatement ordinances. <br />B. Keep all areas within the clearing and removal area sufficiently dampened to prevent dust <br />from rising due to clearing or removal operations. Comply with all anti -pollution ordinances. <br />This contractor shall see to it that trucks leaving the site shall do so in such a manner <br />that debris, vegetation, mud and earth will not be deposited on adjacent street <br />pavements. Any debris, vegetation, mud or earth deposited on street pavements shall <br />be promptly removed by this contractor. <br />C. All clearing and removal operations shall be performed in a manner such as to prevent any <br />wash -off of soils from the site into streams and/or storm drainage systems. Appropriate <br />sedimentation ponds, dikes, silt fences, collars, and filter media shall be employed to insure <br />compliance with these requirements. Where a specific statute governs these procedures, <br />such statute shall be complied with in it's entirety. <br />1.08 PROTECTION AND SHORING <br />A. Protect all existing structures, utilities and landscaping indicated to remain on the drawings. <br />2 <br />
