PIPED UTILITIES <br />Section 02700 <br />15-1207 <br />2. Provide ball valve at all test ports with brass plug in valve. <br />2.11 TAPPING SLEEVE <br />A. Shall be used on pipe sizes 6" thru 12" and shall be made with stainless steel material <br />including stainless steel bolts. Flanges shall be ductile iron or high carbon steel. <br />Gaskets shall seal full circumference of pipe. Shall be manufactured for operating <br />pressure of 200 psi, and shall pass test pressure of 300 psi. Romac SST series; <br />Smithblair 662; Mueller H304; Ford "FAST" tapping sleeve. <br />2.12 SERVICE SADDLES <br />A. Shall be used on pipe size 2" thru 4". Body shall be made from ductile iron with epoxy <br />coating or bronze. Cascade Style CSC -1; A.Y. McDonald model 3891 AWWA/3892 <br />FNPT; Smith -Blair #317; Ford S70, S71, S90, (style B). All service saddles in the right <br />of way shall be per the local jurisdiction. <br />2.13 TRACER WIRE <br />A. No. 10 THW solid copper wire. Use waterproof wire connectors all joints. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 DRAWINGS AND COORDINATION <br />A. General arrangement and location of piping, etc., are shown on Drawings or herein <br />specified. Install work in accord therewith, except for minor changes that may be <br />necessary on account of other work or existing conditions. Before excavation, carefully <br />examine other work that may conflict with this work. Install this work in harmony with <br />other craft and at proper time to avoid delay of work. <br />B. Verify invert elevations at points of connection to existing systems prior to any <br />excavation. If invert elevations differ from that shown on drawings, notify Architect <br />immediately. <br />C. In advance of construction, work out minor changes if conflicts occur with electrical or <br />mechanical. Relocate services to suit actual conditions and work of other trades to avoid <br />conflict therewith. Any adjustments or additional fittings to make adjustments shall not <br />be cause for additional costs to the owner. <br />D. Execute any work or apparatus shown on drawings and not mentioned in specifications, <br />or vice versa. Omission from Drawings or Specifications of any minor details of <br />construction, installation, materials, or essential specialties does not relieve Contractor <br />of furnishing same in place complete. <br />E. Graded pipes shall take precedence. If conflict should occur while placing the domestic <br />water and fire service piping, the contractor shall provide any and all fittings necessary <br />0 <br />
