STRUCTURAL STEEL <br />Section 05100 <br />15-1207 <br />QUALITY CONTROL, at no additional costs. <br />F. Test Reports: Refer to Section 01400 —Testing Laboratory Services <br />G. Certificates: <br />1. Structural Steel: 2 certified copies of mill test reports indicating physical and chemical <br />properties of steel used. Correlate individual heat numbers with each specified section <br />and location. Unsatisfactory mill test reports, treat as unidentifiable material. Provide <br />Contractor's affidavit certifying that all identified steel materials provided are of the <br />grades specified and match the certificates supplied. <br />2. High Strength Bolts: 2 certified copies of inspection test reports for each production lot <br />indicating proof load, tensile strength (wedge test), and hardness. Unsatisfactory test <br />reports will result in the bolts being rejected. <br />3. Welded Studs: 2 certified copies of in -plant quality control mechanical tests. <br />4. Welders Certificates: Certify welders employed on the Work, verifying AWS <br />qualification within the previous month. <br />H. Submit executed Guarantee of Contractor/Subcontractor per Article 1.05. <br />1.05 GUARANTEE <br />A. Refer to General Conditions and Section 01300. <br />B. Submit fully executed Guarantee with submittal package required by Article 1.04. <br />1.06 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict accord with the manufacturer's written <br />recommendations. <br />D. Make delivery to job when notified by Contractor verifying that the job is ready to receive the <br />work of this Section and that arrangements have been made to properly store, handle and <br />protect such materials and work. <br />E. Protection: Use all means necessary to protect structural steel before, during and after <br />installation and to protect the installed work and materials of all other trades. <br />F. Replacements: In the event of damage, immediately make all repairs and replacements <br />necessary to the approval of the Architect and at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />1.07 SCHEDULING AND SEQUENCING <br />A. Organize the work and employ shop and field crew(s) of sufficient size to minimize <br />inspections by the Testing Agency. <br />4 <br />
