METAL DECK <br />Section 05300 <br />15-1207 <br />F. Separate sheets and store decking on dry wood sleepers; slope for positive drainage. <br />1.08 QUALIFICATIONS <br />A. Qualification of Field Welding: Use qualified welding processes and welding operators in <br />accordance with "Welder Qualification" procedures of AWS. <br />1. Fabricator and Erector shall provide Architect and Testing Laboratory with names of <br />welders to be employed on Work, together with certification that each of these welders <br />has passed qualification tests within last year using procedures covered in American <br />Welding Society Standard D.1.3. <br />2. If recertification of welders is required, retesting will be Contractor's responsibility. <br />3. Welding shall be performed by qualified light gage (sheet steel) welders. Any welder <br />producing unsatisfactory welding, even though he has passed qualification tests, shall <br />be immediately recertified or replaced with qualified welder. <br />1.09 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A. Design deck to section modulus as specified on contract drawings and a maximum vertical <br />deck deflection of 0240. <br />1.10 FIELD MEASUREMENTS <br />A. Make and be responsible for all field dimensions necessary for proper fitting and completion <br />of work. Report discrepancies to Contractor before proceeding. The Contractor shall be <br />responsible for all errors of detailing and fabrication and for the correct fitting of all metal <br />decking to each other and to their supports. Provide holes and reinforcement for mechanical <br />and electrical penetrations. <br />1.11 TESTING AND INSPECTION <br />A. All steel decking layout and field welding of decking to supports and to decking will be <br />inspected and certified by the Owner's Testing Laboratory. <br />B. Material certification per CBC, Section 2231A.1. <br />C. Welding inspection per CBC, Section 2231A.3. <br />1.12 PROJECT RECORD DOCUMENTS <br />A. Provide per Section 01700, Contract Closeout. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MANUFACTURERS <br />A. General: Deck shall be of type and manufacturer as specified on the drawings or approved <br />equal.
