METAL DECK Section 05300 15-1207 offered under provisions of this specification shall conform to general configuration and dimensions and shall have geometric properties equaling or exceeding those shown. B. Acceptable Manufacturers: 1. ASC Steel Deck 2. Verco Manufacturing Company 3. Accepted equal. 2.02 MATERIALS A. Sheet Steel: Steel decking and flashing shall be formed from steel sheets conforming to ASTM A-653, SS Grade 33, with minimum yield strength of 33,000 psi. Before forming, the steel shall receive a protective metal coating of zinc conforming to ASTM A653 G60 wiped coating, and to Federal Specification QQ-S-775 C, Type I, Class E, with a minimum of 0.502 ounce zinc per square foot, on decks not exposed to the exterior environment. Decks exposed to the exterior in the completed project shall have G90 wiped coating with a minimum of .80 ounce zinc per square foot. B. Deck Sections 1. Deck units shall be supplied in lengths to span over at least 2 supports where layout permits. All single span units, to receive concrete fill, shall have temporary mid -span shoring. 2. All deck units shall be provided with either an interlocking side lap or a lapping type side lap. 3. Venting Devices: All deck sections to receive a poured fill topping, shall be vented using individual separating clips of type, style and spacing recommended by deck manufacturer (space no more than 48" o.c. or a two per deck span) or by built -in- venting slot formed as an integral part of deck profile. Venting slots are required only in non -cellular deck. Tabs shall be turned up into deck so that they cannot be used for hangers. Provide three rows of slots at 2'-0" on centers in three foot wide deck sections. 4. Acoustical Deck: Where specified on Drawings, provide deck conforming to Article 2.01A & 2.01 B (including insulation batts) and having vertical legs provided with holes. Noise reduction Coefficient of complete assemble, as installed shall not be less than 0.60. 5. Flashing and Closure Plates: Provide 18 gauge, or match decking gage whichever is heavier, zinc coated continuous flashing for deck units as detailed, or as required, at ends and sides, at openings and at deck perimeter to contain fill. Flashing shall be detailed and installed to prevent concrete leakage. 6. Reinforcing at openings and penetrations: Provide reinforcing at all openings and penetrations per plans and standard details. 7. Paint: Zinc dust -zinc oxide primer, Federal Specifications TT P-64, Type II. C. Automatic End Welded Studs Used as Shear Connectors or Headed Stud Anchors for Concrete Embeds: 1. Automatic end welded studs shall be Nelson Granular Flux -filled Shear Connector or Anchor Studs (or accepted equal). 2.
