Structural calculations by a registered professional engineer to confirm compliance with all <br />loading requirements. <br />E. When applicable, the skylight manufacturer shall submit for Architect's approval the following <br />test reports and samples in regard to flush silicone joinery: <br />1. Test data on adhesion samples of metal and glass tested in accordance with ASTM -C- <br />794. <br />2. Compatibility statement that the materials in contact with the sealants (such as gaskets, <br />spacers, setting blocks) are compatible with the sealants after 21 days exposure to ultra <br />violet, 2000 - 4000 (micro watt u.v. radiation). <br />3. A statement that the stress on the silicone sealant (per detail), when exposed to the <br />specified load, does not exceed 20 psi. <br />4. The skylight manufacturer shall provide the sealant manufacturer shop drawings <br />showing size of lights, design windload and sealant dimension for sealant manufacturer's <br />evaluation and statement on stress. <br />5. Where applicable a statement from the supplier of insulating glass that the units will <br />withstand the specified loads. <br />F. Submit executed Guarantee of Contractor/Subcontractor per Article 1.05. <br />G. Include characteristics of light admitted, transparency, and insulation value of unit. <br />1.05 GUARANTEE <br />A. Refer to General Conditions and Section 01300. <br />B. Submit fully executed Guarantee with submittal package required by Article 1.04. <br />C. Warranty: Provide five (5) year manufacturer's warranty under provisions of Section 01700. <br />Include coverage of weather and water tightness of skylight assembly and seal with roofing <br />system, operable louvers and electric motors. <br />1.06 REFERENCES AND STANDARDS <br />A. Title 24, Part 2, CCR, California Building Code. <br />B. Architectural Aluminum Manufacturer's Association (AAMA) Publication 1601.1, latest edition. <br />1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict accord with the manufacturer's written recommendations. <br />
