FINISH HARDWARE <br />Section 08710 <br />15-1207 <br />2.10 DOOR STOPS <br />A. Base material shall be solid brass or bronze with finish as hereinbefore indicated. Floor types <br />shall have strikes of suitable height to compensate for clearance between door and floor, <br />verify height. Attachment conditions vary; provide appropriate fastener for each location as <br />needed. Conditions to be field verified prior to ordering. <br />B. Install door stops a maximum of 4 inches from face of wall. <br />2.11 DOOR GASKETS <br />A. Smoke tested UL listed door gaskets shall be installed to provide a seal where door meets <br />the stop on both sides and across the top. Locations of doors to receive door gaskets shall <br />be as indicated on the Drawings or as specified herein. <br />2.12 WEATHERSTRIPPING <br />A. Weatherstripping shall be tested in accordance with ASTM E-283 and shall meet or exceed <br />the requirements thereof. Locations as indicated on the Drawings and scheduled herein. <br />2.13 SOUND SEALS <br />A. Sound seals shall be tested in accordance with ASTM E90-75 with a minimum STC Rating of <br />31 at wood doors and 41 at hollow metal doors. Locations as indicated on the Drawings and <br />scheduled herein. <br />2.14 KEYING <br />A. Key as shown on Door Schedule on Drawings or as directed by Architect. Supplier shall be <br />prepared to meet with Architect and Owner, if required, to assist in creating detailed keying <br />schedule. Provide following: <br />1. Grand Master Key System with six cut GMK and six master keys per set. <br />2. Visual key control system. <br />3. Construction master key system with 20 construction master keys. <br />4. Three standard bow change keys per cylinder. <br />B. Key Locks to existing master key system at each school site. <br />C. Label and deliver all keys by registered mail or personal messenger direct to Architect. <br />Submit bitting list with shipment of permanent keys. <br />D. If project is an addition or modernization to an existing building or campus, see Owner to <br />determine manufacturer of existing locksets and Grand Master Key systems to match new <br />products. Verify with Owner that locks are to be C -Key way. <br />2.15 HANDING AND MARKING <br />A. Furnish hardware in proper "hand" for doors. Package and mark hardware for door number, <br />hardware type and location. <br />11 <br />
