LATH & PLASTER <br />Section 09200 <br />15-1207 <br />All other materials, not specifically described but required for a complete and proper <br />installation of lath and plaster, shall meet or exceed the requirements of the referenced <br />standards and shall be subject to Architect's approval. <br />2.02 MIXES <br />A. Scratch coat: 1 part premium cement and 3.5 parts sand. <br />B. Brown coat: 1 part cement and 4.5 parts sand. <br />D. 100% Acrylic Finish Coat: Factory mixed, 100% acrylic based coating, ETm Finish as <br />manufactured by Dryvit Systems, Inc., BMI Products, or accepted equal. Provide in integral <br />standard or custom color in Sandpebble Fine E texture. <br />1. Water Vapor Transmission (ASTM E96, Procedure B): The Dryvit finishes are permeable <br />to water vapor. <br />2. Moisture Resistance (ASTM D2247): 14 -day exposure; No deleterious effects. <br />3. Salt Spray Resistance (ASTM B117): 300 hours; No deleterious effects. <br />4. Accelerated Weathering (ASTM G154 Cycle 1, QUV): 5000 hours; No deleterious <br />effects. <br />5. Freeze/Thaw Resistance (ASTM E2485, formerly EIMA 101.01): 60 cycles; No <br />deleterious effects. <br />6. Tensile Bond (ASTM C297 / E2134): Minimum 15 psi; No failure in finish. <br />7. Wet Scrub Resistance (ASTM D2486): No cracking, checking or loss of film integrity; <br />2,000 scrub cycles. <br />8. Mildew Resistance (ASTM D3273): 28 days; No growth <br />9. Surface Burning Characteristics (ASTM E84): Flame spread <25, Class I; Smoke <br />developed <450. <br />10. Flexibility: (ASTM D522, Method B): Passed 1-1/2" diameter @ 73° F). <br />11. Instrumentally Measured Color Difference (ASTM 2244 CIELAB, 100 Observer after <br />ASTM G 154 Cycle 1): Color change; 0.99 Delta E after 5000 hours QUV. <br />12. Chalk Rating (ASTM D4214 after ASTM G154 Cycle 1): Chalk rating; 7 after 5000 hours <br />QUV. <br />13. Abrasion Resistance (ASTM D968, Method A Falling Sand): 500 liters; No deleterious <br />effects. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 EXAMINATION <br />A. Examine job site conditions and verify substrate is ready to receive work. <br />B. Inspect installed work of other trades and verify such work is complete to the point work of <br />this section may commence. <br />C. Verify substrate is plumb, level, square, and aligned. <br />D. Report unacceptable conditions to the Architect. Begin installation only when unacceptable <br />conditions have been corrected. <br />N. <br />
