LATH & PLASTER <br />Section 09200 <br />15-1207 <br />E. Beginning of installation means acceptance of existing conditions. <br />F. See article Part 1, Testing & Field Observation for required testing by the Owner. <br />3.02 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect all adjacent materials from stains, splatter or damage by masking during application <br />of plaster work. <br />3.03 FLASHING INSTALLATION <br />A. Electrical box penetrations: Prior to installation of Backing Paper, install appropriately sized <br />Flashing Panels around all exterior light fixture boxes, outlet boxes and other exterior <br />electrical wall penetrations per manufacturer's recommendation. Apply Flashing Sealant on <br />backside of component flange on top and sides, and mechanically attach component to <br />building by fastening the head and side flanges only Install Backing Paper, first layer piece <br />under sill flange and follow by installing Flashing Membrane over Flashing Panel flanges at <br />sides and head per Flashing Membrane manufacturer's recommendations. Install Backing <br />Paper, first layer, around penetration and install Backing Paper Tape over edges and around <br />penetration to seal per manufacturer's recommendations. <br />B. Pipe and conduit penetrations: Prior to installation of Backing Paper, install appropriately <br />sized Flashing Panels around all exterior wall, pipe and conduit penetrations per <br />manufacturer's recommendation. Apply Flashing Sealant on backside of component flange at <br />head and sides, and mechanically attach component to building by fastening the head and <br />side flanges only. Install Backing Paper, first layer piece under sill flange and install Flashing <br />Membrane over Flashing Panel flanges at sides and head per Flashing Membrane <br />manufacturer's recommendations. Install Backing Paper, first layer, around penetration and <br />install Backing Paper Tape over edges and around penetration to seal per manufacturer's <br />recommendations. <br />C. Flanged components penetrations: Prior to installation of Backing Paper, fasten top edge <br />only of the sill Flashing Membrane along the sill of component opening. Apply Flashing <br />Sealant on backside of component flange at sides and head only, and mechanically attach <br />component to building by fastening the head and side flanges only. Finish flashing, by <br />installing side and head Flashing Membranes over the component flanges per manufacturer's <br />recommendations leaving the sill Flashing Membrane and flange unattached and ready to <br />accept the Backing Paper, first layer under the sill flange and sill flashing membrane. Install <br />Backing Paper around flanged component shingle style and as per manufacturer's <br />recommendations and seal with Backing Paper Tape all around per manufacturer's <br />recommendations. <br />D. Flanged windows and doors: See drawings and specification sections 08100 and 08520 for <br />flashing around windows and door frames. <br />3.04 BACKING PAPER APPLICATION — WOOD <br />A. Apply Backing Paper, First Layer weatherlap fashion per manufacturer's recommendations on <br />all exterior framed surfaces to be plastered. Extend over the sill plate/curb interface and <br />secure to the foundation with Flashing Sealant. Install full height of wall to underside of roof <br />overhang or soffit framing. Install Backing Paper Tape at laps of Backing Paper, First Layer <br />per manufacturer's recommendations. Continue with 6 -inch minimum weatherlap around inside <br />and outside corners; and fasten in place. Apply Backing Paper, Second layer as an <br />E <br />
