CERAMIC TILE <br />Section 09300 <br />15-1207 <br />B. Use materials and products of one manufacturer whenever possible. <br />C. All materials, components, assemblies, workmanship and installation are to be observed by <br />the Owner's Inspector of Record. Work not so inspected is subject to uncovering and <br />replacement. <br />D. Ceramic Tile Grade Seal: Required on each ceramic tile container. Grade seals shall be for <br />standard Grade in accordance with ANSI 137.1 - 1988. <br />1.05 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Refer to Section 01300. <br />B. Manufacturer's Data: Submit list and complete descriptive data of all products proposed for <br />use. Include manufacturer's specifications, published warranty or guarantee, installation <br />instructions, and maintenance instructions. <br />C. Samples: The following samples are required. Submit per Section 01300. <br />1. Sample for each type of the and grout to Architect for review. <br />2. Manufacturer's full range of colors for Architect's selection. No additional cost allowance <br />will be permitted for premium colors within Manufacturer's full range. <br />3. Samples of crack isolation membranes, waterproof membranes and backer boards. <br />D. Shop Drawings: Submit plan illustrating location of all control joints for review. <br />E. Lay-up Tx 3' sample panel of tile at job site. Do not proceed until reviewed by Architect. <br />F. Submit executed Guarantee of Contractor/Subcontractor per Article 1.06. <br />1.06 GUARANTEE <br />A. Refer to General Conditions and Section 01300. <br />B. Submit fully executed Guarantee with submittal package required by Article 1.05. <br />C. Provide manufacturer's warrantee against in -plane horizontal cracking, spalling, loss of bond <br />and other defects. An extended warranty may be available from the manufacturer. Contractor <br />is responsible for contacting the installation materials manufacturer for verification. <br />1.07 REFERENCES AND STANDARDS <br />A. California Green Building Standards Code, current edition, as adopted by the California <br />Division of the State Architect (DSA). <br />1.08 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work.
