Backer Board: 5/8 -inch, cementitious backer units "CBU" per ANSI A118.9 or ASTM C 1325. <br />Durock by US Gypsum or approved equal <br />B. Joint Tape: 2" glass fiber mesh tape. Patch & Skim Coats: Install as required to provide a flat and level surface for installation of tile <br />and to provide patching and filling of damaged substrates. ECB (Elastomeric Crack Bridging) Crack Isolation Membranes - Fabric: Where indicated on <br />the drawings, and elsewhere as required for isolating the installation of tile from cracking due <br />to minor substrate movement and normal structural deflections. Waterproofing Membranes — Single Component Fluid Applied: Use at all showers or <br />consistently wet areas or where indicated on the drawings, and elsewhere as required for <br />thin- set the installations complying with ANSI A118.10 for waterproof membranes, and <br />installed in accordance with ANSI Al 08.13.
