FOOD SERVICE <br />EQUIPMENT <br />Section 11400 <br />15-1207 <br />C. Check all door openings, passageways, elevators, etc., to verify that the equipment can be <br />transported to its proper location within the building. If necessary check the possibility with the <br />General Contractor of holding wall erection, placement of doorjambs, window, etc. for the <br />purpose of moving equipment to its proper location. <br />D. Notify the Architect and/or Consultant of any discrepancies between the plans and specification <br />prior to fabrication of any equipment, to actual condition on the job. <br />E. If any special hoisting equipment and operators are required, include cost as part of the bid for <br />this work. <br />1.7 DELIVERY AND STORAGE <br />A. All equipment specified herein shall be delivered to the job site; received and handled by the <br />Contractor or his authorized agent. The Owner shall in no way be expected to store or handle <br />any such equipment. <br />B. All equipment shall be delivered in such a manner as to protect it against dirt, water, chemical or <br />mechanical injury. <br />C. Throughout the progress of the work, the Contractor shall keep the working area free of debris <br />of all types resulting from his work. <br />D. All packing material shall be removed from the project location by the Contractor. <br />1.8 COORDINATION <br />A. Coordinate work with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, interiors and other trades whose work is <br />in conjunction with equipment specified herein. <br />1.9 MEASUREMENTS <br />A. Verify all dimensions shown on the drawings by taking field measurements at the job site prior <br />to fabrication of equipment or ordering equipment. Proper fit and attachment of all parts is <br />required and is the sole responsibility of the Food Service Contractor. If necessary, all <br />equipment shall be fabricated so that it may be handled through finished door openings. <br />1.10 PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Refer to Section 01 60 00. <br />1.11 GUARANTEE /WARRANTY <br />A. All work shall be guaranteed by the Foodservice Equipment Contractor against all defects for a <br />term of one (1) year from the date of notice of completion. This guarantee shall cover <br />replacement of defective material at the Foodservice Equipment Contractor expense, including <br />transportation and labor. This guarantee will not cover any cost for replacement of parts or work <br />made necessary by carelessness or misuse of the equipment by others. <br />E <br />
