PREFINISHED PLASTIC <br />LAMINATE CASEWORK <br />Section 12304 <br />15-1207 <br />B. Use materials and products of one manufacturer whenever possible. <br />C. Casework Designation: <br />1. Reference numbers on drawings are related to Woodwork Institute (WI) Casework <br />Design Series Elevations numbers, and are used to identify prefinished casework and <br />to indicate dimensions, general design, equipment, shelving (adjustable and fixed) and <br />other components to be furnished. Unless modified by notation on drawings, <br />description for indicated number shall constitute requirements for such cabinets <br />incorporating all features set forth in the WI Casework Design Series Elevations. <br />2. Use of the WI Casework Design Series Elevations numbers, and specific requirements <br />set forth in drawings and specifications, are not intended to preclude use of other <br />manufacturer's product or procedure, which may be equal thereto, but are given to <br />establish standard of design and quality of materials, construction and workmanship. <br />D. Casework assembly and installation shall be in accordance with WI Custom Grade, Style <br />"A" Frameless with WI Premium Grade countertops as described by the AWS Manual, <br />latest edition. <br />If provisions for the WI Grade specified are in conflict with, or modified by the drawings <br />and/or specifications, the modifications shall govern. <br />E. Proof of compliance with WI Custom Grade assembly and installation shall be provided by the <br />following WI Quality Control Program: <br />WI Certified Compliance Program. <br />a. Before delivery to the job -site, the casework supplier: <br />1) If a WI licensee: shall issue a WI Certified Compliance Certificate <br />indicating that the millwork products and installation methods being <br />furnished for this project will fully meet all the requirements of the WI Grade <br />or Grades specified herein. Fabricator shall be a member/licensee in good <br />standing of the Woodwork Institute. <br />2) If not a WI licensee: shall provide evidence that they have arranged for <br />inspection of the casework and installation of same, by a WI inspector <br />following completion of fabrication and installation. If all conditions are <br />found to be compliant, the WI inspector will issue a WI Certified <br />Compliance Certificate indicating the casework products and installation <br />methods furnished for this project fully meet all the requirements of the <br />AWS Grade or Grades specified herein. All fees required by the WI for this <br />inspection and labeling program shall be paid by the casework contractor <br />and installer. <br />b. Each elevation of casework, each laminated plastic top and each solid surface <br />top shall bear the WI Certified Compliance Label placed at an inside face of the <br />casework unit furthest to the right in elevation. <br />C. At completion of installation the woodwork installer shall provide a Woodwork <br />Institute Certified Certificate indicating the products installed, and certifying that <br />the installation of these products fully meets the requirements of the Grade or <br />2 <br />
