PREFINISHED PLASTIC <br />LAMINATE CASEWORK <br />Section 12304 <br />15-1207 <br />Grades specified. <br />F. Qualifications: <br />1. Manufacturer: The casework manufacturer must have not less than 5 years of <br />production experience similar to this project, and the specified product, and whose <br />qualifications indicate the ability to comply with the requirements of this section. <br />2. Installer: The installer must have at least one project in the past 5 years with similar <br />systems and complexities to those required for this project, and where the value of the <br />woodwork is a minimum of 80% of the cost of woodwork for this project. <br />1.05 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Refer to Section 01300. <br />B. Samples: The following samples are required. Submit per Section 01300. <br />1. Submit sample for each type of high pressure laminate (HPL), edge banding, cabinet <br />liner, adjustable shelf clip, grommet, hinge, pull, magnetic catch, elbow catch and <br />lockset to Architect for review. <br />2. Plastic laminate and edge banding to be selected from manufacturer's full range of <br />colors by Architect. <br />C. Material Cut Sheets: Provide cut sheets for all materials proposed for use including <br />particleboard, hardboard, plywood and special hardware for review. <br />D. Shop Drawings: Show plans, elevations, ends, cross sections, locations and type of service <br />fixtures with lines thereto; anchorage locations, installation details to floors and walls. Show <br />location of units in relation to surrounding walls, doors, windows, etc. Coordinate with other <br />work involved. <br />E. Submit shop drawings in conformance to AWS Section 1, "Guidelines for Architectural <br />Millwork Shop Drawings". Furnish a WI Certified Compliance Label on the first page of shop <br />drawings. <br />F. Submit executed Guarantee of Contractor/Subcontractor per Article 1.05. <br />G. Provide mock-ups of one base cabinet and one wall hung cabinet, and one of each <br />countertop type. The base cabinet is to have at least one drawer and be of the same material <br />to be provided for the project. The approved mock-up may be incorporated in the project. <br />1.06 GUARANTEE <br />A. Refer to General Conditions and Section 01300. <br />B. Submit fully executed Guarantee with submittal package required by Article 1.04. <br />C. Provide Guarantee against delaminations, joint separations, warp or twist in doors more than <br />1/4 inch, and splits or cracks in finished surfaces. <br />3 <br />
