Particleboard Core: ASTM D 1037-06, industrial grade M3 particleboard. Particleboard <br />shall be free of urea -formaldehyde. <br />F. Plywood: Exterior type, Grade B -C or better. <br />G. Shelves: Band all leading edges with edge banding material as specified above. Shelving to <br />be adjustable on 1-1/4 inch centers, supported by four (4) adjustable shelf clips. Loading <br />capacity to be minimum 50 lbs. per square foot, not to exceed 200 lbs on any shelf. Shelving <br />shall match the interior depth of the cabinet box. <br />1. Shelving less than 24 inches: 3/4 -inch particleboard with melamine, both sides. <br />Provide edge banding as described above. <br />2. Shelving 24 to 30 inches: 1 -inch particleboard with melamine, both sides. Provide <br />edge banding as described above. <br />3. Shelving greater than 30 inches, up to 46-1/2 inches: 1 -inch, M-3 particleboard vertical <br />grade HPL, both sides, applied with rigid glue line process. Contact adhesive is NOT <br />permitted. Provide edge banding as described above. <br />H. Doors: Exposed Vertical Surface HPL bonded to exposed face of %-inch thick Particleboard <br />Core. Provide Cabinet Liner at interior face bonded to Particleboard Core. Where wood <br />grain pattern is selected, provide pairs of doors with book- match wood grain patterns. <br />Provide Edge Banding as specified above. <br />I. Drawers: Exposed Vertical Surface HPL bonded to exposed face of 3/4 inch thick, <br />particleboard core drawer front. Provide Cabinet Liner at interior face of drawer front. Band <br />all 4 edges of drawer front with banding material as specified above. Provide melamine <br />bonded to 1/2 inch thick particle board or MDF, two sides, to create drawer box subfront, <br />sides, back and bottom. At drawers over 30 inches wide, provide 1/2 inch bottoms. <br />J. Finish Hardware: Provide all in US26D finish, unless noted otherwise. Finish shall be <br />selected at time of shop drawing review. All hardware shall meet ANSI/BHMA A156.9 Grade <br />1 requirements. <br />1. Hinges: <br />a. RPC376 as manufactured by Rockford Process Control or approved equal; <br />Heavy duty, five knuckle, 2 -3/4 -inch, institutional type hinge; let into door to <br />achieve 1/8 inch reveals. Hinge shall be mill ground, hospital tip, tight pin feature <br />with all edges eased. Hinge to be full wrap around type of tempered steel .095 <br />inch thick. Each hinge to have minimum 9 screws (fill all holes if greater than 9), <br />#7, 5/8 inch FHMS to assure positive door attachment. <br />b. One pair per door to 48 -inch height. One and one-half pair 48 inches in height to <br />84 inches in height. Over 84 inches in height, provide 2 pair of hinges. Hinge to <br />accommodate 13/16 inch thick laminated door and allow 270 degree swing. <br />2. Door and Drawer Pulls: Hafele, Catalog No. 110.08.400 or approved equal. <br />3. Magnetic Catches: Epco #1006 (in excess of 10 Ib. pull test), or Hafele 246. <br />4. Hinged Door Locks: CompX National Lock C8100 Series pin tumbler. All cabinets in <br />each room to be keyed alike. All rooms to be keyed different. <br />5. Surface Bolt for Locked Pair Doors: Ives, Decorative Surface Bolt, no. 043, 3 -inch, <br />0 <br />
