Figure T5.3a Existing Flood <br />Hazard %ones SS 5 200 -Year; and Figure 15.4: North Area Grading Sections). <br />Stabilization of the existing levee will be employed as necessary to protect the CId River <br />Regional Paris area. The grading approach involves the following: <br />■ Material from the upper elevation areas along Byron Road will be cut and used as fill in <br />the lower elevation areas along Old River as described in the Conditional Letter of Map <br />Revision issued by FEMA. <br />• The existing levee will be graded and reinforced to meet FEMA certification <br />requlrements far park use, if any. <br />Residential building pads along Old River wiJi range from elevation ,n,c4'A13,2 to <br />16 feet (instead of 6.5 to 12 feet as envisioned by the Master Plan). <br />Proposed lake and gelfoRan space areas within Me Neighborhoods north of Syron <br />Road would be lowered to continue to pr❑vide storrrr Conveyance and storage as <br />required in the NHCS b Storm Water Master Plah. <br />Development areas behind the top of the fill area contained within the Old River <br />Regional Parte boundary will drain away from The river, back into secondary and <br />primary collection systems within each Wghborhood, and ultimately to Old River via <br />Mountain House Creek. <br />Lakesioperi space areas within Neighborhood K and L wtll be utilized fpr water quality <br />treatment and flood storage. Gravity flow and discharge to Mountain House Greek will <br />be thfough flap gates, eliminating the need for pumps as envisioned by the Master <br />Plan <br />SPJI Implementation Measures <br />i. MHCSD Design and Construction Reouirem ents. All implementing projects <br />sbaII ccmply with the applicable prow Islons of the MHOS❑ Developrnant <br />Standards. <br />2, N1HCS0 Flood Protection Requirements. All implementing projects shall <br />comply with the applicable provisions of the MHCSD Storm Drainage Master <br />Plan. <br />3_ FEMA Appiicatlon. After the new river flood protection improvements are <br />constructed along Old River, an application shall be made to the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency to change the flood insurance maps. <br />d. Amendments to N1HC5D Design_ Manual. The MH CSD Design Manual shall <br />be rev lsed to be consistent with a11 provisions of this Specific Plan related to <br />grading and flood control along Old River. <br />5_ 5116 200 -Year Flood Protection.
