Sheet M.5.3.06.1 contains 2 extension tank charts. For compartmented tanks, there would only
be 1 "tank extension" tank charts. The main or base of the compartment would be one tank
chart, and the other tank chart would be the extension. Please provide the base tank chart for
the compartmented tank. Please see revised sheet M.5.3.06.1.
4) Provide line length information for verifying line leak detector compatibility.
Will premium have the longest product line length? Yes.
5) Provide completed UPCF Underground Storage Tanks — Facility form (A) and UPCF
Underground Storage Tanks (B) — Tank (one form per tank).
I spoke with my supervisor and I can fill these out for you based on the information in the plans
and application.
6) Please clarify Spill Containment for DEF tank.
M.5.6.03 for the DEF tank refers to part 42 (Franklin Fueling Spill Containment) and refers to C &
D on M.5.6.08 for details. M.5.6.08 indicates part 42 but also language for OPW Spill
Containment. What spill containment will be used for the DEF tank? OPW of Franklin Fueling.
Please remove any parts from M.5.3.01 and M.5.3.02 and on any other pages that will no longer
be used. OPW Spill Containment will be used, please see revised sheet M.5.3.01 (Equipment list
#42). Please see cutsheet.
7) Please clarify overfill prevention that will be used.
The application Page 7 — "G. OVERSPILL/ OVERFILL PREVENTION:" lists the spill container under
the overfill prevention devices and marks that overfill prevention will "Alert the transfer
operator when the tank is 90 percent full by restricting the flow into the tank or triggering an
audible visual alarm". Spill containers do not restrict flow or cause alarm, they catch overflow
spills from fuel deliveries. The install plans show OPW 71SO in the fill sump details and on
M.5.3.01 item 41. Cut sheets were also submitted for 7150. Are these the overfill prevention
equipment that will be used? Please update the application if so. Please see updated
application.
If you have any questions please let me know.
