7.0 IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES
The following sources of past, current, on-site, and off-site contamination have
been identified as a result of this assessment:
Identified Contamination Sources
No current contamination sources were identified. Past contamination of the soil
has been properly remediated. The material presented below is informational only.
The Site was developed for irrigated agriculture as early as 1937. The San
Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office has records of pesticide
usage on this Site for the three preceding years, from 2018 to the present.
No violations of pesticide regulations were noted. The oil drum
contamination discovered in 2019 has been properly remediated. (past and
current on-site)
2. Adjoining properties are identified as agricultural and residential uses. (past
and current off-site)
3. A domestic well serves the residence and the shop building. No irrigation
wells are located on the Site. (current on-site)
4. Agricultural irrigation infrastructure (SSJID pipeline) is present on the Site
from past and current farming operations. (past and current on-site)
Evaluation & Recommendations
Agricultural chemicals may remain in Subject Site soils from past uses. The
only way to determine the presence or absence of these chemical is by
testing and analysis. Typically, any such testing is conducted at the
property owner's discretion. Given that the current agricultural use is
expected to continue, testing is not recommended.
2. Based upon a review of the current regulatory agency data and assessment
of the subject property, it appears that the potential for adverse impacts to
the Subject Site due to current or past activities at the Site is low.
3. Based upon a review of the current regulatory agency data and assessment
of sites in the general area, it appears that the potential for adverse impacts
to the Subject Site due to current or past activities in the general vicinity is
low.
BOVEE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT, INC.
1900 McHenry Ave., Ste. 201, Escalon, CA 95320
Escalon 209-847-3800 • Fresno 559-264-3800 • Bakeisfield 661-246-2110 • Sacramento 916-564-3838
