3 -17 <br />• Two water trucks are available. <br />• Emergency 4 1/2 inch fire hose hook-up in the southeast corner of the landfill, north of <br />the South Fork and a 2 1,/2 inch fire hose hook-up in the northeast corner of the site <br />for the Fire Department. <br />• Knoxbox outside the landfill main entrance with keys to the main gate, landfill office, <br />and RRF office. <br />Regular ma i ntenance, inspection, and housekeeping procedures are conducted. Emergency <br />equipment operating instructions, escape routes, emergency response~ (inc lud ing a separate <br />seot ion on AGM) and evacuation procedures are identified in the Contingency Plan. <br />The RRF equipment and vehicles are maintained to prevent fires by frequently removing debris <br />and dust from undercarriages and engine compartments and checking for, and repairing, oil <br />and fuel leaks. Portable fire extinguishers are provided on all heavy equipment vehicles, in <br />be#roffice trailers, in the equipmen t maintenance bui lding at the landfill, and an on board fire <br />suppression system is provided on front line equipment. Personnel are trained to perform fire <br />suppress ion activities using appropriate site equipment, stockpiled soil cover, and when <br />necessa ry, a water truck. Water storage facilities consist of the primary 1 ,000 gpm on s ite <br />production 'Nell located adjacent to the landfill entrance and a ~500 gpm pump that feeds a <br />10,OOO -galion pressurized tank. Lines from the tank lead to various locations at the site.eR <br />site production well located by the RRF . In addition, a 12,000 gallon water tanl{ is located <br />near t he 'Nood pile at the RRF. <br />In addition to measures talmn at the faci lity to ensure an adequate landfill per imeter <br />cleara nce, the site is traversed by the South Forl~ which creates a natural fire breal~. <br />3.3.7 Lighting (14 CCR . Section 17416.2) <br />In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17416.2, lighting is available at the RRF for operations. <br />PG&E provides the primary electric service to the site, Electric power is provided to the office <br />trailers and on site pumping facilities. There is also night/security lighting at the landfill and <br />RRF entrances and on the RRF building. The landfill has a portable trailer-mounted generator, <br />in case of an emergency or night lighting. In addition, the landfill uses portable lights for <br />operations after dark (Le. in the winter) which could also be utilized for other activities. <br />3.3.8 Water Supply (14 CCR. Section 17419.2) <br />In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17419.2, a safe and adequate water supply for drinking <br />and emergency use is available for station personnel. In the event that on-site personnel <br />and firefighting equipment cannon suppress a fire. then the local Fire Department is called <br />for assistance by dialing "911".
