18201 W Grant Line Road Project No. 2021-00083
Aerial Photograph Description Table
Page 13
Date
Photo Description
1952
The 4.60 subject property parcel appears to be used for agricultural purposes,
1963
likely row crops. Surrounding properties appear to be a mix of vacant and
1975
agricultural, with sparse residential homes. Grant Line road is visible adjacent
south of the parcel, with a road Mountain House Parkway) adjacent east.
2021
The subject property remains vacant, however, there is no longer agricultural use
indicated and the site appears graded. Surrounding properties to the west are now
tract housing; properties north, east, and south of the subject property appear
vacant.
Based on historical aerial photographs, the subject was utilized for agriculture from at least 1952 to
1975 with grading from at least 2021.
Based on a review of Google Earth images, the subject property had one small structure and
associated asphalt first visible August 2017 which was no longer visible after April 14, 2018. This
structure is likely a "temporary sales coach' associated with Community Development permit
BP -1701616 dated May 24, 2017. Additional Google Earth image observations from June 2018
through July 2020 indicate the parcel was utilized for staging of large concrete pipes likely associated
with development in the vicinity.
The historical aerial photos are included in Appendix C of this report. Petralogix's ability to interpret
the land uses is limited by the quality and scale of the photos.
2.3 United States Geological Survey Topographic Maps
The parcels were identified on two 7.5 -Minute Bethany Quadrangles obtained from the U.S.
Geological Survey dated 1914 and 1952, and two 7.5 -Minute Clifton Court Forebay Quadrangles
obtained from the U.S. Geological Survey dated 1978, and 2018.
In the 1914, 1952, 1978, and 2019 maps, the subject property is depicted as vacant land. Grant Line
Road is depicted adjacent south in all four maps. The 1952 and 1978 maps depict a cluster of
structures located adjacent north of the subject property. The 1978 and 2018 topographic maps
depict an intermittent lake or pond south of the subject property, adjacent to W Grant Line Road. The
subject property is approximately 85 feet above mean sea level. Surrounding properties are depicted
as primarily open land, with some structures condensed north of the subject property along
Patterson Pass Road (currently labeled Mountain House Parkway) beginning in 1978. The 2018 map
depicts housing tracts in the immediate vicinity west of the subject property.
Due to the lack of significant change over time in the vicinity, only the 1978 and 2018 maps are
included in Appendix C of this report.
Petralogix Engineering, Inc.
26675 Bruella Road, Galt, Ca 95632
(209)-400 5729
www.petralogix.com
