Safety glasses with suitable corrected lenses , or <br /> 2 . Safety goggles designed to fit over glasses , or <br /> 3. Protective goggles with corrective lenses mounted behind the protective lenses . <br /> The wearing of contact lenses is prohibited in working environments having harmful <br /> exposure to materials , or light flashes , except with medically approved devices . <br /> Side shields shall be worn whenever the hazard of flying objects is angular as well as <br /> frontal . <br /> Body Protection <br /> Protection such as rubber aprons or sleeves may be necessary in certain <br /> environments where splashing of hazardous materials , or other common substances <br /> such as water would pose a risk to the employee . Flying metal particles or molten <br /> metal are examples of hazards that could penetrate normal clothing and injure the <br /> employee , requiring leather protective sleeves and/or vests . <br /> In all cases , clothing appropriate for the work being done shall be worn .
