Based on our review, the Eljen Geotextile <br /> Sand Filter trench system meets the applicable sections of Placer County's Local <br /> Agency Management Plan (LAMP) and Wastewater Regulations, and is therefore <br /> approved for use. Please see below for specific approval criteria: <br /> SCOPE OF APPROVAL <br /> 1. Eljen Geotextile Sand Filter (GSF) trench system will be allowed on lots with <br /> demonstrated effective soil depths of 24-inches beneath the specified sand. <br /> 2. Eljen GSF system can be approved for residential sewage treatment where: <br /> a. Initial installation and repair area meets standards for standard or <br /> alternative technology, or <br /> b. Repair in cases of system failure where repair does not meet ordinance <br /> (beds or mounds may be considered) <br /> 3. Future expansion of residences or addition of residences utilizing Eljen GSF <br /> system will not be approved if the increased design flow resulting from the <br /> expansion exceeds the design capacity of the treatment system. <br /> 4.
