• Type: The marketing events will consist of a variety of activities. These events <br /> include special dinners, receptions, and fundraisers for charitable organizations. <br /> The events will include indoor and/or outdoor activities. <br /> • Food: All food will be served and prepared off-site by caterers. Cheese, <br /> crackers, and breads will be prepared on-site by Harmony Wynelands. <br /> • Attendance: The average expected number of attendees is ninety-five (95) with a <br /> maximum of one hundred and twenty (120). <br /> • Hours: The events will be approximately four (4) hours in length and will end by <br /> 10:00 P.M. <br /> Up to four (4) special events may be permitted with approval of an Improvement Plan <br /> application. Special events are not part of the Site Approval review. <br /> • Pur e: The purpose of these events is to promote rmony Wynelands wine <br /> while pr oting agricultural awareness. Some a events will raise money for <br /> non-profit c itable events. <br /> • Type: These event ay include a draiser, charity event, a concert, or a large <br /> gathering of family an 'ends. a events will include indoor and/or outdoor <br /> activities. <br /> • Food: All of the fo served will be ered. Some events will have hors <br /> d'oeuvres and ers will serve full lunc r dinners. <br /> • Attend ce: The expected average attendance is be 100-180 people. <br /> • urs: The anticipated hours of the events will be between 2:00 p.m. and`10;,00 <br /> p.M. <br /> Background <br /> On November 15, 2001, the Planning Commission denied (without prejudice) Site <br /> Approval Application No. SA-01-59. The project was denied for the following reasons: <br /> 1. 35 marketing events are excessive for the prosect size. <br /> • The applicant has reduced the number of proposed marketing events from 35 <br /> events per year, to 25 events per year. The events will take place between <br /> the months of March and October. <br /> 2. The winery application and site plan are incomplete. <br /> • The winery will produce a maximum of 3,500 gallons of wine and be open for <br /> daily wine tasting during the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and by special <br /> appointment. The marketing plan states that the average number of people <br /> attending the events is 120 and that the events will take place during the <br /> hours of 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. The Site Plan shows an adequate number <br />
