Submit to Public Works, the annexation processing fee of $2,000 (make check <br /> payable to San Joaquin County Treasurer; the fee is subject to change after July 1 , <br /> 2022). This fee covers Public Works' costs to obtain the Board's authorization to <br /> submit an annexation application to LAFCo. The processing fee is non-refundable <br /> if the Board or LAFCo fails to approve the annexation request. <br /> b. Submit the appropriate water and storm drain service buy-in fee of $ 47,649.00 <br /> (make check payable to San Joaquin County Treasurer). <br /> c. Submit proof of legal authority to represent the owner if the applicant is not the <br /> property owner. (Consent to Annexation form enclosed) <br /> d. After notification by Public Works, applicant shall meet the following requirements. <br /> i. Fill out and return the enclosed LAFCo Justification of Proposal <br /> (application), including the applicable supporting submittal items listed on <br /> Page 3 of the application to Public Works. <br /> ii. Submit the necessary LAFCo processing fee as determined by LAFCo <br /> (make check payable to LAFCo; the fee is subject to change after <br /> July 1, 2022). <br /> • Note: The State Board of Equalization filing fee will be required. <br /> Contact LAFCo for fee information after annexation approval. <br /> iii. Submit the County Surveyor processing fee as determined by LAFCo <br /> (make check payable to the San Joaquin County Surveyor's Office). <br /> • Submit the most current grant deed of the subject parcel containing <br /> the titleholder name(s) and description of the subject property. <br /> • Submit a boundary map and legal description of the area proposed <br /> for annexation, prepared by a licensed land surveyor or civil <br /> engineer. <br /> 2. Following annexation approval by LAFCo, the applicant shall satisfy each of the <br /> following applicable requirements: <br /> a. A zone within the District encompassing the annexed area shall be formed prior to <br /> the issuance of any building permits to provide for the operation, maintenance, and <br /> improvement of water, storm drain and street lighting facilities. The applicant shall <br /> pay for the cost to process the zone formation and assessment for the new zone. <br /> In addition, the applicant shall pay for the maintenance and operation of the system <br /> from the time the facilities are accepted by the District until the property is placed <br /> on the assessment role of the District. (Development Title Section 9-1100.5) <br /> b. The applicant shall ensure that the available fire flow provided by the system and <br /> any fire suppression system installed for the new development, meets the <br /> requirements of the County Fire Warden and local fire district. <br />
