San Joaquin County <br />HHWVAR970804 <br />Page 3 <br />Specific Waivers Granted: DTSC has determined that the applicant and the CESQGs <br />(participants) are waived from the following statutory requirements for the following <br />specific hazardous waste management activities: <br />HSC, section 25160: The applicant and participants are granted a variance from <br />the manifest requirements. <br />HSC, section 25163(a): The applicant and participants are granted a variance <br />from the transporter registration requirement. <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Exclusion. Based on its review of the <br />same evidence, DTSC finds that it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility <br />that the granting of this variance may have a significant effect on the environment, within <br />the meaning of subsection (b)(3) of section 15061 of Title 14 of the Cal. Code of Regs. <br />SECTION IV. TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br />Conditions for revocation: This variance is subject to review at the discretion of DTSC <br />and may be revoked at any time. DTSC shall revoke this variance if DTSC finds that the <br />provisions outlined in HSC, section 25143(e) for variance revocation have been met or on <br />the basis of changes in DTSC policy. <br />Specific terms and conditions of this variance: The applicant and participating <br />CESQGs shall be subject to the following conditions: <br />The applicant shall immediately notify DTSC of any noncompliance with the terms <br />of this variance. <br />2. The applicant shall accept hazardous waste only from participating CESQGs in <br />conjunction with the HHW collection events in accordance with the procedures <br />outlined in Section II of this variance. <br />3. The amounts of hazardous waste to be accepted from and transported by each <br />participating CESQG shall be limited to a total quantity of 100 kilograms <br />(220 pounds or 27 gallons) of hazardous waste or 1 kilogram of acutely/extremely <br />hazardous waste per load per month. <br />4. The applicant shall be responsible for advising the participants regarding proper <br />packaging and transportation procedures prior to the collection event and for <br />
