Provide written notification to ust aQsigov.org to arrange the following appointments (a 48-hour <br /> notice is required for inspection appointments). <br /> a. Witness soil and/or water sampling under removed piping and UDCs. <br /> b. Primary piping soap test of all piping and penetrations (gasoline product, additive <br /> product, additive ven): One-hour pneumatic pressure test at 110% of operating <br /> pressure, or 40 psi, whichever is greater, in accordance with manufacturer installation <br /> instructions. <br /> c. Verification of secondary piping slope at 1/8 inch per foot or greater, to a containment <br /> sump with an audible/visual alarm. <br /> d. Secondary piping soap test of all piping and penetrations (gasoline product, additive <br /> product, additive vent): One-hour pressure test at the manufacturer's recommended <br /> specification. <br /> e. Verification of all pipe setbacks, cross-overs, and burial depth according to the <br /> manufacturer's installation instructions and verification of appropriate piping backfill. <br /> f. Verification of brine type and witnessing of brine addition in the STP sumps, vent sump, <br /> and UDCs. <br /> g. Integrity testing of all STP sumps on the existing three gasoline tanks per the <br /> manufacturer's installation instructions. <br /> h. Monitoring system functionality: Functionality of the monitoring system must be verified <br /> to ensure it meets the requirements of California Code of Regulations (CCR)Title 23 <br /> and California Health & Safety Code (HSC) Chapter 6.7. A copy of the alarm history <br /> shall be printed prior to the removal of the existing Veeder Root system and made <br /> available at the time of EHD inspection. <br /> i. Leak detector test for the existing three gasoline tanks: Leak detector must be tested to <br /> confirm that the device can detect a leak of 3 gallons per hour at 10 psi. <br /> j. Verification of overfill prevention on the existing three gasoline tanks: Measurement of <br /> drop tubes to verify 95%tank volume shut off and/or verification that external <br /> a audible/visual alarm activates when tank is 90%full. <br /> k. Spill bucket test on the existing three gasoline tanks: Verify minimum 5-gallon capacity <br /> and pass a one hour hydrostatic test(or equivalent). Proper drainage method must be <br /> verified. <br /> I. Since concrete will be broken near the existing three gasoline tanks, a secondary <br /> containment test must be performed on the tanks once concrete is poured in <br /> accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines. <br /> Please be aware that the facility cannot operate the 87 or additive UST system or receive <br /> fuel in the 87 tanks prior to the EHD inspection and approval. <br /> 4. Secondary containment testing for the product piping and turbine sumps on the existing three <br /> gasoline tanks is required six months after installation. Provide 48 hours notification to the <br /> EHD when this test is scheduled. <br /> 5. Any individual performing the work of a service technician must meet the following <br /> qualifications: <br /> a. Possess or be employed by a person who possesses one of several permissible valid, <br /> current contractor's licenses issued by the Contractors State License Board (may be <br /> issued to the installation company), or a Tank Tester's license issued to the individual by <br /> the State Water Board <br /> b. Possess or work under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically <br /> present at the work site who possesses a valid, current California UST Service Technician <br /> certificate issued by the International Code Council (ICC) <br /> 201;1 <br />
