Item No. 5
PC: 3-19-87
SU-87-7
Page 6
School Facilities:
The project site is within the Lodi Unified School District .
Elementary school students would attend Lakewood School; middle
school children would attend Woodbridge School ; and high school
students would attend Lodi High School. The District notes
that all three schools are currently overcrowded but states
that the impact of students on overcrowded schools will be par-
tially mitigated by the collection of development fees. To
reduce overcrowding, the District states that until new schools
can be constructed, students from subdivisions served by
overcrowded attendance areas may be bussed to another school,
or the school may be placed on a year-round schedule.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Summary of Initial Stud):
The Initial Study prepared for this Major Subdivision applica-
tion on January 27, 1987, did not identify any significant
environmental effects. On the basis of this Initial Study, a
Negative Declaration has been prepared for the Commission's
approval.
