MOUNTAIN HOUSE NEIGHBORHOOD"F"PROJECT INITIAL STUDY <br /> Condition of Approval CULT-1: As stated in the County's Development Title(Chapter 9-1053M), <br /> if, during the course of any construction, including any grading activity associated with said <br /> construction, subsurface archaeological features are uncovered anywhere within the project site, <br /> work shall be immediately halted in the vicinity of the finding and a qualified archaeologist <br /> consulted for an on-site evaluation. Such evaluation may entail archaeological test excavation <br /> and/or mitigative data recovery. The County Coroner, the Native American Heritage Commission, <br /> and an archaeologist shall be informed and consulted if a human prehistoric burial site is <br /> discovered during site construction. An agreement shall be formulated between the Native <br /> American representative, the archaeologist,San Joaquin County, and the developer with regard to <br /> the proper treatment and disposition of human remains and associated artifacts. Such treatment <br /> and disposition may require archaeological excavation and reburial, <br /> c) Directly or indirectly destroy a unique paleontological resource or site or unique geologic feature? <br /> While no known paleontological resource or site would be impacted by the project, unknown resources <br /> may be encountered during site preparation. Refer to the Condition of Approval CULT-1 above. <br /> d) Disturb any human remains, including those interred outside of formal cemeteries? <br /> Unknown human remains could be encountered during site excavation and preparation.
