~

January 15' 1980
Project 116-1 . 3
_ ] -
Croundwater samples were collected from monitoring well #2 on January 12,
1980. Prior to sampling, each well was balled to remove a volume of water
equal to the well volume. The sample was then collected and filtered through
a #43 Whatman Filter Paper to remove suspended solids. The sample was then
split and half of each sample was fixed with nitric acid to preserve for
metal ions.
These sampling methods and subsequent analyses are in conformance with
"Standard Methods for the Examination of Nater and Wastewater." Analyses
were performed by Emcon Associates of San Jose, California, a water labora-
tory certified by the California Department of Health Services. Table 3
summarizes all groundwater observations and analyses at monitoring well #2.
TABLE 3 - WELL AND ANALYTICAL DATA "
Well #1 Well #2
Total Depth 80/ 95/
Well Elevation 43' 43 '
Groundwater Elevation Dry -34^9
PH 6 .- 7.5
EC X 10 - 750
Total Hardness as CaCO3 /mg/\ \ - 2200
Bicarbonate Alkalinity as CeCO3 (mg/1) - 350 '
iron (m /l ) - 1 ,5
Barium (mg/1 ) - 1 .5
Strontium (mg/l ) - 0,35
Arsenic (mg/1 ) - «U.Ol
Sulfate (mg/l ) - <O.5
Chromium / /l \ - <0^05
zinc Ann/l \ - 1 . 1
nickel ( /l) - 0.25
cadmium (mg/l ) - <0,05
copper (mg/l) - 0.2
The results of the soil and vegetation sampling program is summarized below
in Table 4,
' TABLE 4 - SOIL AND VEGETATION ANALYSES
(Barium mg/9)
Washed Washed Digested
Soils QrassesGrassas
North 0,3 6 <l .0
South O, ] <4 <l ,O '
East 1 .9 12 <l ,U
Nest <0'3 <5.5 <1 .0
