Provide a corrective action statement to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -In the hazardous waste storage area, one black 55 gallon steel drum containing used oil had a funnel attached to <br /> the drum filled with used oil and oil filters (IMG 1067). <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d)Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days(90 days acute/extremely). <br /> OBSERVATION: The following hazardous waste containers were found on-site with no accumulation start date or <br /> had an incorrect accumulation start date: <br /> -In the hazardous waste area, one black 55 gallon drum containing used oil was missing an accumulation start date <br /> (IMG 1067). <br /> -In the non-ferrous storage building, one black 55 gallon steel drum containing oily absorbent had the accumulation <br /> start date listed as 9/19/2015(IMG 1035). Per General Manager Tom Park,the listed accumulation start date was <br /> incorrect. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66262.34. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately dispose of the hazardous waste stored on site greater than 180 days in <br /> compliance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations.
