Those inmates requiring emergency health care <br /> services shall be immediately transported to San <br /> Joaquin County General Hospital by ambulance or <br /> police car . If the inmate is eligible for citation <br /> release, the inmate shall be released on a citation <br /> so he/she can seek medical attention on their own . <br /> 12 . Receiving Screening. <br /> a . At the time of booking, all inmates shall be <br /> screened for medical and mental health problems and <br /> developmental disabilities . <br /> b. This will be accomplished by completing the standard <br /> arrest/booking sheet . <br /> C. Any inmate who appears, at this screening, to be in <br /> need of or who requests medical, mental health, or <br /> developmental disability treatment should be <br /> transported to the San Joaquin County Jail or <br /> released on a citation ( if permissible ) as soon as <br /> is reasonably practical . <br /> 13 . Inmate Deaths . <br /> a . All inmate deaths occurring within the Manteca City <br /> Jail shall be fully investigated by the Special <br /> Services Division. <br /> b. A post mortem examination will be conducted in any <br /> inmate death within the Manteca City Jail . <br /> C . A review of all inmate deaths shall be conducted by <br /> the Captain of the Special Services Division. <br /> 14 . Suicide Prevention Program. <br /> a . All inmates at the time of booking shall be screened <br /> to identify those inmates who present a suicide <br /> risk . <br /> b. This is accomplished by completing the standard <br /> arrest/booking sheet and observing the inmate while <br /> you are booking him or her . <br /> C . If in the opinion of the booking officer the inmate <br /> is a suicide risk, that inmate shall be transported <br /> to the San Joaquin County Jail as soon as is <br /> reasonably practical . <br /> d . Pending transportation the inmate should be kept <br /> under frequent observation in cell number one . <br />
