Approved materials shall be placed cmily in that portion of the site, <br /> either the landfill or the treatment and evaporation pands, which is <br /> suitable for their disposal . <br /> [This specification alerts the site operator that many of the other <br /> specifications will restrict where materials are discharged at the <br /> site.] <br /> B. Wastes shall not be placed with other materials with which they are <br /> incompatible® Incompatible substances are those which, when commin- <br /> gled, react to result in an explosion, violent chemical reaction, <br /> fire, extreme heat, or formation of a toxic substance. <br /> [These waste combinations could cause the impairment of liners or caps <br /> or cause the formation of hazardous constituents of which ,are are <br /> unaware. The US EPA and the State DOHS hve prohiiiited <br /> disposals to land . Discharge of a waste shipment at the site would be <br /> prohibited under- this specification if no appropriate location exists <br /> where only compatible materials are present.] <br /> C. Wastes shall be accepted only for which the generator has provided the <br /> operator with written assm7nce that the waste manifest adequately <br /> describes all toxic or hazardous constituents that could reasonably be <br /> expected to occur in the waste. <br /> [This should prevent the discharge of hazardous constituents unknown <br /> to the site operator and thereby unknown to us.] <br /> D. The operator shall inform the Board staff in writing before accepting: <br /> 1. An amount of waste greater than 100 cu!)ic yards from a single <br /> generator either as a single shipment or as miultiple shipments . <br />
